When I was new to this a lot of stuff went over my head, so I'll break some stuff down for you in case you're like me.
All these links are safe and curated, but if one looks suspicious, check it at Virustotal.
Most of these links are either: a programmer's (or programming hobbyist's) portfolio; a specific project in someone's portfolio that I think is cool; a fantasy computer or game engine, or another site just like this, where some netizen compiled a whole bunch of stuff they want to keep in their pocket.
Why not? When I first learned to use the Web, it seemed much smaller; there were all sorts of things to do, people to meet, and pages to explore. Lately, it feels like it's either social media or computer-generated search-engine-optimized sludge. It's hard to get to the good stuff, if it's even still out there-- and some people believe it's not. I disagree. It's harder to find, now, but the Internet can still be useful, fun and personal. After all, you made it here, didn't you?
please!!!!
I filled this site with things I think the average person can learn (with varying degrees of commitment!) If you make something inspired by this site I'd love to see it!! (I don't think I have any way to contact me on here yet... hmm I'll have to fix that.) If you want to make a website, it's SUPER easy-- I reccomend Neocities and following some basic HTML tutorials but that's getting to be another thing so let's move on.
